FJ Pro/SLX Shoes

Once again FootJoy has raised the bar when it comes to producing golf footwear that is both comfortable and delivers when it comes to performance.

The new lineup of Pro/SLX(tm) and Pro/SLX Carbon that was recently introduced to retail not only has a light “walking on air” feel about them but also offers improved stability during the swing that all golfers will appreciate.

The new wider toe-box of this shoe is just part of the new traction design called the PWR TRAX System. It features a molded 3D X-Wing that is engaged by swing forces to redistribute energy to the perimeter of the golf shoe, inspired by the wide base found in race cars to maximize perimeter stability and traction. The Race Trak Outsole with radial disc traction harnesses and extends into the ground to increase the overall traction footprint with impressive stability to help your swing. Multiple traction elements target specific on-course conditions and around-the-course walking needs. This is a shoe that can very comfortably be a walking shoe on or off course.

“We know the game is evolving and we need to make sure that we are evolving with a modern golf shoe for the modern golfer,” said Patrick Trubiano, Director of Product Management, FJ Footwear. “Pro/SLX will feature cutting edge, never-before-seen performance innovation that will truly advance your game.”

The Ortholite comfort foam insoles are one of the impressive features of this shoe and offer the feel of many custom insoles in how they shape to your feet. FJ’s popular StratoFoam(tm) midsole offers exceptional comfort and is specifically tuned to absorb and return energy with every step. Around the ankle is a 3D Molded Collar that locks the foot in place for supreme comfort and a reliable, consistent fit. The 3D X-Wing engages and provides increased stability as your swing engages the ground, and an exposed heel stabilizer and side wall TPU wrap controls lateral and upper movement. And on top of this, the shoe is both light and has great aesthetics.

“Golfers are going to be excited about the performance of the new Pro/SLX,” continued Trubiano. “It’s very comfortable, it’s very stable and it looks phenomenal.”

This shoe has already been worn on the pro tours in both practice and competition by the likes of Sahith Theegala, Sungjae Im, Corey Connors and many others.

The Pro/SLX comes in men’s White/White, Black/White and White/Navy and in a women’s White and White/Multi. A BOA(r) version of the shoe is available in men’s and women’s white. The Pro/SLX Carbon comes in a laced men’s White, Black and White/Black.
